  • Are there entrance criteria?

    At Emory Peak, we are committed to providing quality education to a diverse and global student body. We welcome students from both within the United States and around the world, with a few exceptions. Our inclusive approach ensures that we serve a broad range of students, fostering a dynamic and enriching educational environment.

    National and International Students:

    National Students: We proudly serve students from within the United States. Our curriculum and programs are designed to meet the needs of students residing in the United States, offering a comprehensive educational experience. Our curriculum and materials are specifically catered to help students succeed on state and national testing.

    International Students: Emory Peak extends its reach to students worldwide. We warmly welcome international students who wish to pursue an education with us. Our globally focused curriculum, experienced faculty, and dedicated support services ensure a seamless and enriching experience for students from diverse cultural backgrounds.

    Exceptions: Embargoed Regions and Restricted Countries

  • When is the first day of school?

    We have rolling admissions so students can start at any time. Our cohorts begin on the 1st and 15th of every month.

  • What is the deadline for registration?

    There is no deadline for registration. Emory Peak offers rolling admissions, meaning your student can start at any point in the semester! 

  • How do you determine grade level?

    Students will be placed in a grade level based on their age and/or transcripts, if applicable. We will provide a placement test to help us determine if any adjustments need to be made.

  • Is there an application fee?

Academics & Curriculum

    Emory Peak Online Academy has a rigorous curriculum that provides your student with the highest quality, personalized virtual education. Review our course catalog.

  • Is there live instruction?

    While coursework is primarily asynchronous, there may be occasional synchronous activities, such as live webinars or virtual meetings, to support student engagement and interaction.

  • What are the responsibilities of the parent/guardian?

    Emory Peak is an online private school. Parents/guardians are not responsible for providing instruction. Our interactive curriculum is designed to provide students all of the instruction and coursework they need with the support of certified teachers. Parents serve as the designated learning coach for the student and main point of contact.

  • How do students earn credit?

    Students must demonstrate academic success and earn a passing grade of 70 or above to earn credit for the course.

  • Can I make changes to my schedule once enrolled?

    Yes. Students will have up to 14 calendar days to make a course change request from the first day of their enrollment. Please contact your counselor for assistance.

  • What engagement opportunities are available to students?

    Students may participate in various virtual engagement opportunities organized by the Student Success Advisors and counselors.

  • What are the attendance requirements?

    Students are expected to make continuous course progress in each of their courses on a regular basis. Students will have course pacing guides and due dates readily available to help keep students on target to complete the course by the end of the semester.

    If students go 10 or more days with no course progress, a conference call will take place between teacher/outreach advisor and parent to discuss course progress concerns and offer guidance and support to the family, as needed, to help get the student back on track.

    If the student fails to make course progress or improve, students are susceptible to being placed on an improvement plan that is directed by teacher and outreach support advisor.

  • What is considered full-time enrollment?

    EmoryPeak requires a minimum of five (5) courses to be considered full-time.

  • What is the school calendar?

    There is no standard calendar, students will observe the following holidays:

    •Thanksgiving Day

    •Day after Thanksgiving
